Goals achieved and exceeded!

Together, we have accomplished our mission.

Our project in Guinea-Conakry: Towards a world where clean water is a reality for all.

In 2022, Eau Z'Enfants and its partners launched their biggest challenge in Guinea-Conakry: the construction of 50 boreholes in 50 remote villages deprived of potable water.
The goal of the challenge was to provide clean drinking water to 50 particularly isolated villages that had received no aid.

Our local team was responsible for identifying not only villages that met all the necessary conditions for the installation of functional and sustainable boreholes but also locations where the needs were particularly urgent, given the number of children affected.

Thanks to the determination of our team and the unwavering support of our donors, we successfully reached our goal of 50 boreholes.

Against all odds, the success of this campaign far exceeded our wildest expectations. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to
financer 8 additional boreholes, bringing our total goal to 58 boreholes funded!

Our actions

The major steps of the initial project

The project study began in 2021 and continued for several months.
Initially, our team visited remote regions to identify the water needs of the population.

To ensure the success of the project, we also worked closely withrepresentatives from rural communes and recognized drilling companies.

Once we had gathered the necessary funds for financing, we launched the project. The entire project spanned 2 years.

The construction timeline

Between regulatory obligations and field studies by geologists, the project planning tookbetween 6 and 12 months per borehole: this is an essential step.

This timeline also included a pause in the project during the rainy season. Indeed, from June to October, the water table can rise significantly, leading to an inaccurate representation of the available water quantity. This could prevent the borehole from being drilled to a sufficient depth for the dry season.
Once these preparations are completed, the construction of a borehole takes between 24 and 72 hours.
