Following the success of two schools built in Togo in 2020 and 2021, and a school in Guinea in the small village of Kinssy Diabere in the Labé region in 2023, Eau Z'Enfants is once again mobilizing to finance the construction of a new school in the village of Okou Copé, located in the Blitta region of Togo. This vitally important project aims to provide a safe and appropriate learning environment for the children of this rural village.
To make this project a success, we need to raise €52,600. The funding will be used to build the school, install latrines and solar panels, equip classrooms, supply school materials and uniforms, create a vegetable garden, and install a mechanical borehole for drinking water. The project is scheduled to take between 10 and 14 months to complete.
We are calling on your generosity to ensure the success of this project, which will transform the future of these children and the entire Okou Copé community.
Together, we can make school a reality for these children.
In Togo, the literacy rate is only 43%, and access to education remains disparate and limited, particularly in rural areas. In Blitta, the current school is dilapidated and poorly equipped. Pupils and teachers have to contend with inclement weather, and many children have to walk 4 km to get to school. This project aims to remedy these difficulties by creating a stable, safe and stimulating educational environment for the children.
DID YOU KNOW? In the prefecture of Blitta, a village located in the central Togo, about 260 km from the capital Lomé of Togo. The region is home to some 140,000 inhabitants in 2023.
Developing the school system in Togo and Guinea is a major commitment for our association. Eau Z'Enfants aims to improve teaching conditions and provide access to education for all children.

Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest rate of school absenteeism: more than 1/5th (or 20%) of children aged 6 to 11 are not enrolled in school".
This situation slows down its economic and social development. These uneducated children don't have the chance to open up to the world. They won't be able to choose their own path in life, and won't be able to escape poverty.
